Angie Mead King thankful to be alive after sports car caught fire

Angie Mead King reassured everyone that she is well after her sports car caught fire at the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).

On Instagram Stories posted by her wife, Joey Mead King, Angie shared more details on what happened to her.

She said she just exited Biñan in SLEX when a car honked at her, and when she looked at her rearview mirror, she saw the fire, so she pulled over.

"I could tell it was getting worse 'cause the car started stuttering already," she said.

Angie even tried to save one of her computers from the trunk, but it was already burned. But she was able to save a laptop and her camera.

She hopped out of the car and started taking videos before the fire started getting worse.

"It was heartbreaking. Now, watching it more now, it sucks because I was just sharing with my vlog how this is it. This is the driver car of driver cars. It was such a fun car to drive," Angie said.

When asked what she thinks happened, Angie said, "It felt like a fueling issue, but we'll never know because they don't have autopsies here for cars."

Angie also posted the clips of the fire on her account, writing, "Thank you for checking in on me, I'm alive and lungs feel fine now."

"It was a short lived experience and I think the NSX is a pure drivers car. One day I'll get another one for sure but for now I'll live another day. Thank you to the Good Samaritan for picking me up on SLEX, The fire, towing and SLEX police were amazing and wanted to thank them for the speedy service. This was traumatic to say the least and a fire extinguisher wouldn't have put out the flames at all," she said.

The car was an Acura NSX, a luxury two-seater, rear mid-engined, rear-wheel drive sports car by car manufacturer Honda. Angie said it had undergone some modifications.
