Lyn Ching shares story behind photo with Jeff Goldblum and Jonathan Bailey
Lyn Ching felt "blessed" after a fateful encounter with Jeff Goldblum and Jonathan Bailey.
The “Unang Hirit” host got the chance to interview the Hollywood stars for their upcoming film, “Wicked,” in Sydney, Australia.
On Instagram, Lyn shared that selfies were not allowed in the interview room and that their hectic schedule was running behind.
She was waiting to enter Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo's room for her next interviews when she had a lucky encounter with Jeff and Jonathan.
"I prayed for this chance," Lyn wrote. "I was blessed yet again."
“This photo was taken outside their door right after they finished all their interviews,” she added.
The broadcast journalist said that there “was a difference of a few seconds” between waiting and moving to her next interview.
“Had Jonathan not opened their door when he did, I would have already been ushered into the other room and missed them,” she said.
“But as it was, when Jonathan saw me (who could miss my loud colors?), he turned back to call Jeff Goldblum so we could take the photo together,” she added.
Following this, Lyn had nothing but praise for the two actors and their kindness.
“I’m so thankful that both Jonathan and icon Jeff are kind people,” she said. "Iba ang pakiramdam pag ang gusto mong artista ay mabait. And they are.”
Lyn also said that she was very blessed to have this experience.
“Love ako ni Lord.”
“Wicked” premieres in Philippine cinemas on November 20.
“Wicked” is a prequel to “The Wizard of Oz.” It is told from the perspective of the Good Witch Galinda and the Wicked Witch of the West Elphaba before Dorothy arrives in Oz. The story also follows the witches’ self-discovery journey.
The film stars Ariana Grande as Galinda, Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, and Jeff Goldbum as the Wizard.
