GMA Entertainment, Direk Mark Reyes issue statement as director resigns from ‘Sang’gre’
GMA Entertainment has released a statement as Direk Mark Reyes resigns from upcoming Kapuso fantasy series “Sang’gre.”
"GMA Entertainment's Sanggre will have new directors Rico Gutierrez and Enzo Williams," the statement began.
Saying "Direk Mark Reyes will start on new major projects for 2025," GMA Entertainment said he will bequeath the direction of Sang'gre, while confirming it is "slated to air on GMA Prime in 2025."
Meanwhile, Reyes confirmed his resignation from "Sang'gre" to focus on "other work commitments."
"I will be focusing on my other work commitments set for 2025 which will need my utmost attention,” read the statement, published by GMANetwork.com.
In his statement, Reyes made sure to wish the "Sang'gre" cast, staff, and its new directors all the very best.
“I wish the cast, the staff, Direk Enzo and Direk Rico the best of luck with the remaining work for Sanggre. Avisala Eshma!" he said.
Reyes was the director of the original “Encantadia” series in 2005 that starred Sunshine Dizon, Iza Calzado, Karylle and Diana Zubiri.
He also headed the production of its 2016 remake starring Kylie Padilla, Gabbi Garcia, Glaiza de Castro and Sanya Lopez.
“Sang’gre” is the spinoff of the iconic Kapuso fantaserye, topbilled by Angel Guardian, Bianca Umali, Faith Da Silva and Kelvin Miranda as the new keepers of the brilyantes.
It already started filming in November last year.
