Kyline Alcantara goes full-on spooky as Mambabarang for Halloween
Kyline Alcantara took a different turn from her usual bubbly look, and dressed as the Mambabarang for Halloween.
The Kapuso actress went all out with her costume and makeup, which consisted of a dark brown gown with brown leaves and vein-like details. Kyline also put on animal horns, and held a scepter with fire.
The Mambabarang, a figure in Philippine mythology, is known as an evil witch or sorcerer who uses black magic to harm others.
“They are believed to control insects, such as beetles or flies, and use these creatures to possess or attack their victims, often causing illness, madness, or even death,” Kyline said on Facebook.
“The Mambabarang's power is rooted in deep resentment or revenge, and their craft involves intense rituals that connect them with the spiritual or supernatural realm,” she added.
Kyline will play the kontrabida, Joanna Dela Costa, in the Philippine adaptation of “Shining Inheritance.”
She previously starred in the online miniseries “Miss Legends” with Kobe Paras.
In September, Kyline walked for Chris Nick’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection at New York Fashion Week.
