Maxene Magalona proud of 'powerful' mental health performance on It's Showtime's 'Magpasikat'

Maxene Magalona was among the mental health advocates who appeared on “It’s Showtime”  during the “Magpasikat” performance of Jhong Hilario, Jackie Gonzaga, and Cianne Dominguez on Friday.

After the show, Maxene took to Instagram to share photos with her fellow advocates. They all wore green scarves, which is the international symbol for mental health awareness.

Maxene wrote that she is “proud and honored to have shared the stage on @itsshowtimena with these amazing mental health advocates."

The actress thanked Jhong, Jackie, Cianne, and their team “for giving such a powerful and moving performance about mental health awareness.”

“Thank you for inviting us to be part of your presentation so that we can show the people who are struggling with their mental health that they are not alone. We are all in this together,” she added.

Jhong, Jackie, and Cianne shared the story of mental health challenges and promoted the advocacy through impressive choreography and stunts on “Magpasikat.”

"It's Showtime" is set to name the winners of this year's "Magpasikat" on Saturday. The judges for this year include Gabbi Garcia, Donny Pangilinan, Alice Dixson, and former president of ABS-CBN Freddie "FMG" Garcia.

Meanwhile, Maxene has been open about her mental health and healing journey on Instagram, and how practicing yoga and meditation have helped her through challenges.
