Dominic Roque is stranded in Sorsogon: 'Makakaalis ka kaya kami?'

Dominic Roque is still in Sorsogon Friday morning after Severe Tropical Storm Kristine prevented him and his friends to head home to Manila.

On his social media, Dominic has been posting updates from a beach resort in Sta. Magdalena, Sorsogon in the southernmost tip of Luzon, where Dom and his motorcycle friends, including Jason Abalos and have been unable to leave due to Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.

On Friday morning, he posted a video of their group having breaking and wondered out loud: "Makakaalis na kaya kami?"

Previously, he managed to take a selfie on the shore and gave an update. "Haybu," he wrote.

Multiple provinces and towns across the Philippines have been placed under a state of calamity, as of 8 p.m., October 24, 2024, due to the widespread flooding, landslides, and damage caused by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, including Sorsogon and Samar, which Dom had earlier planned to go to, to be able to get home.

The Bicol region has been hardest hit with Naga City receiving 2.5 months' worth of rain in just 24 hours and Albay receiving an unprecedented rainfall of 500 millimeters, more than the 467 mm rainfall of 2006's deadly Typhoon Reming.

On Thursday, the 20 people have been reported dead due to Kristine.

Dominic wasn't the only celebrity stranded in Sorsogon. Earlier, Parokya ni Edgar shared on social media that they haven't been able to leave the province after performing the Kasanggayahan Festival over the weekend.
