Parokya ni Edgar gets stranded in Sorsogon due to Kristine

Parokya ni Edgar members are stranded in Sorsogon as Tropical Storm Kristine continues to batter the Bicol region.

The band gave an update on their situation through a Facebook post on Tuesday, October 22, sharing photos of them under the pouring rain.

“Stranded kami sa Sorsogon. 'Di kami maka-uwi. Canceled lahat ng flights. Delikado din daw mag-roadtrip. So naligo na lang kami sa ulan."

"Stay safe, everyone!!” Parokya added.

The band is in the province after performing at the Kasanggayahan Festival on October 21 with fellow OPM artists Flow G and Skusta Klee.

According to PAGASA’s 11 a.m. weather bulletin Wednesday, Signal No. 2 is raised in the northeastern portion of Sorsogon, which includes the town of Prieto Diaz and the city of Sorsogon.

Kristine is moving north northwestward at 30 kph and is expected to make landfall over Isabela on Wednesday evening, according to the NDRRMC.

“It is forecast to make landfall over Isabela tonight. It will then cross the mountainous terrain of Northern Luzon and emerge over the waters west of Ilocos Region tomorrow morning,” PAGASA said.

“KRISTINE may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) region on Friday (25 October),” it added.

PAGASA said Kristine may intensify into a severe tropical storm before making a landfall on Wednesday evening but it may slightly weaken while crossing Northern Luzon.

“Re-intensification may occur over the West Philippine Sea,” PAGASA said
