Nadine Samonte says she has no tampo over GMA Gala guest list mishap; proud of where she's at right now

Nadine Samonte did not feel "tampo" from the GMA Gala guest list mishap that happened back in July.

In an interview with Nelson Canlas for GMA Integrated News, which aired on "24 Oras" Thursday, the Sparkle star was asked if she felt "tampo" after a system glitch caused her name to disappear from the guest list.

"No, actually no kasi in the first place they invited me, so wala sa'kin talaga. Sa'kin, kausap ko 'yung mom ko, sabi ng mom ko, just let it be. Maging positive ka pa ring tao," she said.

The Sparkle GMA Artist Center had reached out to Nadine following the incident to ensure that it won't happen again in the future.

"I'm so happy kasi kung hindi din dahil dun sa news na 'yun, hindi rin naman magiging maingay 'yung pangalan ko, diba? OK, naisip ko rin, there's always a reason for everything talaga. And I'm very happy with my Sparkle family, I'm so happy with them and also with GMA," she continued.

Nadine is marking her acting comeback with the upcoming drama series "Forever Young," alongside award-winning Kapuso child actor Euwenn Mikaell.

In the interview, the "StarStruck" Season 1 alumna also shared that she has some regret after going on a hiatus from acting, but added that she's proud of where she is currently.

"Sana I did more, but — there's always a but — but I'm very proud of where you are now," she said, addressing her younger self. "Syempre may mga regrets na sana ganiyan, sana ganiyan, pero kasi pag nangyari 'yun, hindi magiging ganito ngayon."

"Forever Young" follows the story of Rambo Agapito (Euwenn), a 25-year-old trapped in the body of a 10-year-old due to a medical condition called hypopituitarism. Eventually, Rambo becomes the mayor of a small city.

Aside from Nadine and Euwenn, other cast members include Eula Valdez, Michael De Mesa, Alfred Vargas, Rafael Rosell, Matt Lozano, Althea Ablan, Abdul Rahman, Princess Aliyah, Bryce Eusebio, and more.

Directed by Gil Tejada Jr., "Forever Young" is set to premiere on GMA Afternoon Prime on October 21. It will air weekdays at 4 p.m. after "Shining Inheritance."
