Maki on surprise performance with LANY: 'I was shaking so hard'

Maki made a memorable performance on LANY's concert at the Philippine Arena on Saturday.

In a TikTok video, the rising Filipino artist shared behind-the-scenes moments from the show. Maki posted clips of him running around and dancing backstage.

“I was shaking so hard,” Maki wrote in the scene of him heading up to the stage to sing. “I can barely stand.”

But when vocalist Paul Jason Klein called him onstage, Maki gave it his all and was in awe of the audience’s reaction to him hitting the high notes of LANY’s “Out of My League.”

Aside from dueting with Paul, Maki also performed his smash hit, “Dilaw.”

LANY had three shows in the Philippines over the weekend: one at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan, and two shows at Waterfront Cebu.

Before their shows, Paul and drummer Jake Clifford Gloss got up close and personal with fans as they worked the cashier counter at a fast food branch in BGC.

Prior to this, LANY was last in Manila in 2022 for a five-night concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Zack Tabudlo and Juan Karlos joined them onstage in separate shows.

LANY is best known for the songs “ILYSB,” “Malibu Nights,” and “Thru These Tears,” among others.

Meanwhile, apart from “Dilaw,” Maki is making waves with his songs, “Saan?” and “Kailan?”
