Marian Rivera holds ‘Balota’ TikTok challenge for a chance to win film premiere ticket

Do you want to watch “Balota” on its premiere night with the one and only Marian Rivera?

On TikTok, the Kapuso Primetime Queen invites her fans and followers to unleash their inner Teacher Emmy in a “Balota” makeup transformation challenge for a chance to win a premiere ticket on Thursday.

The challenge's premise is simple: Use makeup tools to transform into Teacher Emmy with bruises on the face and neck while playing “Kapangyarihan” by Ben&Ben (feat. SB19) as the background song of your video.

“Ang pinakabonggang transformation na pipiliin ko ay isasama ko sa premiere night namin sa October 11. G?” Marian said in the caption.

After its successful run during this year’s Cinemalaya Film Festival, “Balota” is set to return to Philippine cinemas starting on October 16 with a new cut.

Discounted tickets will be granted to eligible teachers and students who bring their valid school ID to the cinemas.

Written and directed by Kip Oebenda and co-produced by GMA Pictures and GMA Entertainment Group, “Balota” follows the story of a land-grabbing tycoon and a former male sexy actor who are locked in a tight race for the mayoral seat of a small town.

Marian played the role of Teacher Emmy, and her highly praised performance led her to win the Best Actress trophy at the Cinemalaya awards night. She shared the honor with Gabby Padilla.
