Marjorie Barretto files COC for City Councilor in 1st District of Caloocan

Marjorie Barretto is returning to politics after 10 years.

On Instagram Monday, the former actress posted a Reel documenting her filing of certificate of candidacy for city councilor of Caloocan's first district over the weekend.

"After a lot of thought, prayers and clear signs, I filed my COC for City Councilor yesterday under #TeamAksyonAtMalasakit," she wrote.

Saying how the last few months "has been quite a journey," Marjorie admitted going back to politics after a decade "has been challenging, terrifying and exciting."

Thanking incumbent Mayor Along Malapitan and incumbent representative Oca Malapitan for "their trust and confidence in me," Marjorie said she now has a renewed sense of purpose.

A total of 18,280 elective posts will be up for grabs for Eleksyon 2025. The filing of COCs has started on October 1 and is set to close on October 8, Tuesday.
