GMA Pinoy TV celebrates October with a stellar concert, award-winning shows, and inspiring stories

GMA Pinoy TV, the home of Global Pinoys, brings a vibrant mix of Filipino entertainment this October. From drama and romance to real-life stories, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Starting on October 5, audiences can watch "OK AKO", a three-episode miniseries from GMA Network and the National Council for Children's Television (NCCT) through its National Endowment Fund for Children's Television (NEFCTV) grants program, which tackles various issues concerning mental health such as loss, anger, anxiety, bulimia, and depression.  Watch heartwarming and meaningful stories on "OK AKO" on October 5, 12, and 19.

"My Mother, My Story" gives Global Pinoy audiences more touching, beautiful, and inspiring stories. The country's King of Talk, Boy Abunda, sits down with celebrity guests to talk about their life stories through the lens of their relationships with their mothers. The limited talk series features one of the world's top pole vaulters, EJ Obiena, in an episode airing on October 5.

Host Atom Araullo takes viewers behind the stories of the day's biggest headlines with "The Atom Araullo Specials." In the episode "Republika ng Plastik," he examines the growing problem of microplastics affecting marine life, the livelihood of fishermen, and health. "Julie x Stell: Ang Ating Tinig" wows Global Pinoy fans on October 11. The televised concert is the most-awaited musical collaboration between Asia's Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose and P-Pop Kings SB19's very own Stell.

"Forever Young," GMA Network's new series premiering on October 21, stars award-winning actor Euwenn Mikaell as Mayor Rambo Agapito. The series explores the unusual story of Rambo, a 25-year-old adult man trapped in the body of a ten-year-old boy due to panhypopituitarism. This rare medical condition affects the growth of a person. Watch the inspiring drama series beginning on October 21.

In celebration of Filipino American History Month in the US, a special episode of "Becoming Pinoy" will air on October 26, featuring Filipino-American rapper Talilo (Tala and Ilog). Known for his powerful storytelling through rap and hip-hop, Talilo sheds light on social issues, poverty, and personal struggles through his original compositions and music videos filmed in the Philippines, where he showcases local icons like Apo Whang-od, the Ilonggos, and popular tourist destinations. "Becoming Pinoy," GMA Pinoy TV's multi-awarded original series, profiles successful and influential global Pinoy individuals of Filipino descent.

Global Pinoys should also keep tuning in for the latest episodes of popular programs from GMA such as "Pulang Araw," the most important Philippine TV series of 2024 boasting of the powerhouse cast of Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza, First Lady of Primetime Sanya Lopez, Pambansang Ginoo David Licauco, and Asia's Multimedia star Alden Richards, with Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo in a very special role, and "Widows' War," the murder mystery series where Box-Office Queen Bea Alonzo and Primetime Goddess Carla Abellana lead viewers through twists and turns that keep them at the edge of their seats.

Another must-watch for Global Pinoys is "Secret Slaves: The Jessica Soho Special Report on Human Trafficking," presented by multi-awarded journalist Jessica Soho. It won the Gold Award in the Best Current Affairs Programme Made in Asia for Regional Asia and/or International Markets category at the ContentAsia Awards 2024. Watch on October 12 (US and Canada) and on October 13 (Asia Pacific and MENA).

Rounding up GMA Pinoy TV's entertainment offerings are "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," hosted by the King of Talk of himself, Boy Abunda, who tackles the latest showbiz issues through his in-depth interviews of the biggest celebrities, plus "Family Feud," hosted by Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes, who keeps the fun and excitement rolling in the award-winning game show.
