Kim Ji Soo to play a dad for the first time in 'Mujigae'
Kim Ji Soo is taking on a father role for the first time, for the upcoming Filipino film "Mujigae."
According to a report on "Unang Balita" on Thursday, the Sparkle actor accepted the role because he was moved by the heartwarming story of the child Mujigae.
He also said the project will further help him in learning the Filipino language, the report added.
Previously, Ji Soo shared on Instagram a glimpse of the set of "Mujigae," including photos of him with child actress Ryrie Turingan.
Directed by Randolph Longjas, "Mujigae" also stars Rufa Mae Quinto and Alexa Ilacad.
The film premiere in cinemas nationwide on October 9.
Kim Ji Soo signed a management contract with Sparkle in August.
Ji Soo has appeared in the GMA Network action drama series "Black Rider" as Adrian Park, and top-rating GMA Afternoon Prime series "Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap" as Dr. Kim Young.
He graced the GMA Gala in July and won the Red Carpet Scene Stealer Award, and participated in the GMA Kapuso Foundation's relief efforts for the victims of Typhoon Carina. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
