Carmina Villaroel reveals she was hesitant to accept her role in ‘Abot Kamay Na Pangarap’
Now that "Abot Kamay Na Pangarap" is about to air its finale, Carmina Villaroel admitted to having some hesitations before taking the role of Lyneth in the hit Kapuso afternoon series.
In a media conference on Wednesday, the actress said she was fresh from the murder-mystery series “Widows’ Web” when the medical drama was offered to her.
“Medyo hesitant ako to accept because coming from ‘Widows’ Web’ parang sabi ko, 'ay grabe parang ibang-iba 'to.' Parang, okay ba ako?” Carmina said.
It was upon learning that she would be working with Jillian Ward and Director LA Maldriejos, that Carmina accepted the role.
“Sila talaga ‘yung mga factors at of course ‘yung story. Importante naman palagi sa akin ‘yung istorya, ‘yung direktor at kung sino ang kasama ko,” she said, adding that she never regretted being part of the show.
Carmina plays Lyneth, the mom of Jillian’s character Analyn Santos.
"Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap" first aired in 2022 and has been on air for almost two years now. The cast has grown close — they even went to Japan for the Holidays last year.
In August, Jillian expressed her gratitude as the show marked its 100th week of airing, while reaching 12 billion views.
Other stars who are part of the series include Richard Yap, Kazel Kinouchi, Pinky Amador, and more.
“Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap” airs Mondays to Saturdays at 2:30 p.m.
The series will air its final episode on October 19.
