Elle Villanueva, Derrick Monasterio to star in upcoming film about hazing

Elle Villanueva and Derrick Monasterio are done shooting their upcoming film.

According to Lhar Santiago’s report on “24 Oras,” Friday, the project is about a sensitive topic: hazing.

“May mga experience po ako nung college na may mga kwento-kwento, may mga ka-batch akong namatay nung time na ‘yon. So, para mapunta sa ganitong klaseng storya na ‘yung love of my life is na-hazing, parang mahirap siya—ang hirap i-sink in non,” Elle said.

Derrick, on the other hand, hopes that people would choose to avoid hazing practices.

“Kasi hindi naman pain and suffering ang magp-prove ng worth mo sa isang tao,” he said.

Sparkle stars Neil Ryan Sese and Jon Lucas are also part of the cast of the upcoming film.

“Nakakatuwa [na] nagkakaroon po tayo ng mga ganitong pagkakataon na maka-work po natin ‘yung mga talagang leading man ng GMA,” Jon said.

Elle and Derrick previously starred in “Return to Paradise” and “Makiling.”

The real-life couple confirmed their relationship in 2023.
