EJ Obiena, mother Jeanette to guest in Boy Abunda's 'My Mother, My Story'

EJ Obiena and his mother, Jeanette, are the featured guests in the upcoming Sunday episode of “My Mother, My Story” with Kapuso host Boy Abunda.

In Monday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the King of Talk shared a gist of the upcoming episode, where he talked to EJ and Jeannette about their relationship growing up, the world of sports, and how they overcame the embezzlement allegation by the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association (PATAFA) in 2021.

“Noong nagkaroon ng injury si EJ, they [parents] actually wanted him to quit, pero pinili ni EJ na ituloy pa rin ang kaniyang Omlypic dream,” Boy said.

“For the first time, EJ would also get into details kung paano naapektuhan ang relasyon nilang mag ina noong inakusahan sila ng embezzlement ng PATAFA,” he added.

Boy also promised the viewers that the episode would be worth their time.

“Makikilala natin si EJ as a man who never quits, a man who fights for his truth, a man who honors his family, and a man who loves his country,” he said.

EJ and his girlfriend, Caroline Joyeux, are currently in France to attend Paris Fashion Week.

During the couple’s time in the Philippines earlier this month, EJ held a meet and greet with his fans and supporters, while Caroline participated in a coastal cleanup drive in Pasay City.

EJ’s episode in “My Mother, My Story” is set to air on GMA Network on September 29, 2 p.m.
