David Licauco, Jay Ortega, 'Pulang Araw' boys arm wrestle on set during break

Jay Ortega shared on his TikTok account how he and his co-stars spend break time on the set of “Pulang Araw.”

His latest video showed him, David Licauco, Mikoy Morales, Ryo Nagatsuka, and Ken Z competing with each other in an arm wrestling game.

“Mga walang magawa sa dinner break,” the video said.

David even quipped, “Ano ‘yan? Dalian mo,” before he won against Jay during their turn.

In “Pulang Araw,” Jay plays the role of the antagonist Akio Watanabe, a spy working for the Japanese Imperial Army.

“Pulang Araw” traces the intertwined lives of four childhood friends: Adelina (Barbie Forteza), Teresita (Sanya Lopez), Hiroshi (David), and Eduardo (Alden Richards). As war ravages their homeland, their dreams, friendships, and loyalties are tested, leading them on a journey of self-discovery and resilience.  

The main antagonist of the series is Col. Yuta Saitoh, played by Dennis Trillo. He is a Japanese Imperial Army officer whose mission is to conquer the Philippines.

"Pulang Araw" airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." It is also streaming on Netflix.
