Mikoy Morales shows what taping days look like on 'Pulang Araw' set

Mikoy Morales took to Instagram to share a glimpse of what it’s like taping “Pulang Araw.”

The Kapuso actor posted “A (red) day in his life” IG Reel, starting with him getting ready at home, then driving through the rain to the set.

Once there, he set up his taping bench, then changes into costume as Tasyo and gets his makeup done, which includes bloody and bandaged ribs.

Mikoy shows various taping scenes, including getting tortured by Japanese soldiers while lying on a bed.

After work, the actor drives home and goes on Netflix.

In "Pulang Araw," Tasyo is a guerilla member and Eduardo’s (Alden Richards) friend who experiences the same torture as him. On Friday night’s episode, Tasyo was captured and subjected to nail pricking.

In 2023, Mikoy was named Best Actor at the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival for his role as the arrogant playboy Eric in “Tether.”

“Pulang Araw” traces the intertwined lives of four childhood friends: Adelina (Barbie Forteza), Teresita (Sanya Lopez), Hiroshi (David Licauco), and Eduardo (Alden Richards). As war ravages their homeland and Japanese forces occupy the Philippines, their dreams, friendships, and loyalties are tested, leading them on a journey of self-discovery and resilience.

Th show made a strong debut on Netflix last July, and was a trending topic on X. It also airs on GMA Prime.
