Tom Rodriguez joins cast of 'Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law'

Tom Rodriguez has joined the cast of “Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law.”

The actor shared the news on Instagram, alongside a photo with lead star Jo Berry.

“So honored to be part of Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law and to finally be working with [Jo]!!” Tom said.

He added that he started work on the series on the show’s 100th taping day.

“What a fun and welcoming group! Happy to also see familiar faces on set and standby area as well,” he said. “Thank you God for this opportunity!”

Jo commented, “Yey! Welcome sa LMAAL family!”  

More details about Tom’s character are yet to be revealed.

“Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law” follows the title character, a little person with a big purpose in life. She will do everything to fight for what is right and defend the oppressed people. It airs on GMA Afternoon Prime.

In January, Tom returned to the Philippines after living in Arizona for two years, following his divorce from Carla Abellana. While there, he said he took the time to recover.

Tom and Carla had been in a relationship for seven years before getting married in October 2021. They were surrounded by breakup rumors just three months after their wedding.

Early this year, Tom revealed that he is already seeing someone new but wants to keep the identity to himself.

Tom last appeared in the 2021 GMA primetime series "The World Between Us," starring Alden Richards and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.

He returned to acting last March with an episode of “Magpakailanman.” He is set to star in a movie with Rhian Ramos and JC De Vera.
