'Amazing Earth' teases new adventures beginning September 20

GMA Network's award-winning infotainment program “Amazing Earth” offers new titles and interesting discoveries about nature starting this Friday.

Hosted by Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes, the program features breathtaking adventures around the globe that inspire viewers to love and preserve the environment.

Kicking off the fresh episodes this September 20 are the timely and relevant stories from “The World’s Deadliest Weather.” Relive some of the most extraordinary weather the planet has ever seen and witness personal stories of people who have captured these events on camera.

Following this four-part special are tales about the strangest wild animals all over the world. Explore fascinating vistas in South America where life is a challenge and inhabitants must first fight through its fury. Catch “South America’s Weirdest” and find out how animals adapt to survive.

Meanwhile in “Asia’s Weirdest,” creatures are proven stranger than fiction. Apart from being the world’s largest continent, Asia is also home to strange and mythical creatures. From the lush tropical to the wide-open steppes, this is a land where one should expect the unexpected.

Moreover, science fiction meets natural history through a voyage into the unknown in “Alien Abyss.” The search for aquatic aliens reveals the secret lives of the bizarre marine animals. Prepare to unlock insights into what life might be like on other planets.

“Wild Survivors,” on the other hand, displays the incredible diversity in the animal kingdom. Each creature has its own solutions to day-to-day problems and they all behave differently in their quest to survive.

“Amazing Earth” also has a two-part special showcasing the “Last Day of the Dinosaurs.” Take a seat for the most dramatic event in Earth’s history — a fully immersive thrill-ride of mega-tsunamis, terrifying meteor showers, off-the-scale earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, firestorms, bitter acid rain, and a chilling nuclear winter.  

Furthermore, viewers must watch out for the “Deadly Australians.” Take a closer look at the most notorious and fatal animals in Australia, including the world’s most venomous snakes, deadly jellyfish, monster crocs, and venom-laden spiders.

Finally, “Wild Taiwan” takes the audience to the spectacular beaches of Kenting and the 13,000-feet high Jade mountain. Taiwan has a vast array of landscapes that sustain a remarkable variety of exotic creatures that revel in nature by putting on spectacles seen nowhere else in Asia.
