'The Voice Kids PH' audience in stitches after contestant chooses Coach Stell, who did not turn around for him

"The Voice Kids Philippines" started with a bang during its pilot episode on Sunday!

One of the main highlights of the evening was brought by Mark Anthony Punay, who sang "Kung Sakali" by Michael Pangilinan during the blind auditions.

Julie Anne San Jose, Billy Crawford, and SB19's Pablo all turned around for him, all intent on adding him to their respective teams.

SB19's Stell did not turn around, but he gave Mark, also known as Makmak, a standing ovation after his performance.

When the time came for Makmak to choose his coach, the studio audience were reduced to stitches after he enthusiastically announced Stell as his coach.

Billy and Pablo playfully carried Stell to the studio exits, before they spoke to Makmak along with Julie and explained that he had to choose between the three of them.

In the end, Makmak chose Pablo as his coach.

By the end of the pilot episode, only Billy did not have someone yet on his team. Stell and Pablo each have one, while Julie already has two.

The four coaches opened the show with a performance of "Something Big" by Shawn Mendes.

"The Voice Kids Philippines" airs Sundays on GMA Network at 7 p.m. after "Bubble Gang."
