John Fedellaga on his brand of drag, showcasing it in 'Drag Race Philippines,' and lessons learned from the show

"Drag Race Philippines" just streamed the much-awaited Rusical episode of Season 3, which saw the queens stage a "Wicked"-inspired musical and use the famous Filipino blanket for the runway challenge.
It shockingly sent John Fedellaga home and on the Friday following his elimination, the queen from San Francisco went on a Zoom call with the press, where she sounded gracious in her defeat.
John admits to being "heartbroken" and wanting "to show more of what I have" because "there is more that I could show."
According to John, she really prepared for the talent challenge. "It's a love letter for our community," she said describing what she would've done.
John made it to episode 6 of the 10-episode reality show, and said she is satisfied with what she showed through his "Drag Race Philippines."
Apart from showing "my Snatch Game, my hosting, my performing," the social media star was also able to showcase her brand of drag that she describes as "babae. Woman. A soft one. Femboy."
According to the online queen, it's a relief to be able to show another facet of her personality. "Honestly before, I was always shy to show who I am," John shared, crediting not just her sisters from the entire "Drag Race Philippines" production for giving her a safe space "to show the person that I am."
In "Drag Race Philippines," John learned "that I always have to fight for what I want."
"I learned it's good to be kind sometimes but if you really want to get something, you will have to fight for it," she said.
"Drag Race Philippines" season 3 is proving to be the strongest yet, with the high-rating snatch game that saw J Quinn exit, Yupipota's surprise decision before that, and revelations that trigger important conversations on topics like rape, suicide, and HIV awareness.
Following John's exit, only 7 queens remain.
"Drag Race Philippines" streams on HBO Go and WOW Presents. New episodes drop every Wednesday.
