Jackie Lou Blanco, Ricky Davao's daughter Rikki Mae joins cast of 'Widows' War'

Jackie Lou Blanco and Ricky Davao's daughter, Rikki Mae, just joined the cast of "Widows' War."

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," Thursday, the project marks Rikki's first Kapuso series.

"Naa-appreciate ko nga 'yung pagkasulat nito kasi 'yung name ko nga is si Rochelle, pero I really make it a point na, 'No, I prefer Rico.' So merong, you know, gender identity and sensitivity, which is kumbaga I'd love to be a representative of that," Rikki said.

In an interview on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" last year, Jackie Lou said that she had an inkling that her daughter might be gay.

According to Jackie Lou, Rikki arrived with a girl right behind her and then she stood there silent for a full 15 minutes.

"Sabi niya, 'Mama, I'm gay.' Sabi ko, 'I know.'"

Later that year, Ricky also appeared on the same show and recalled that Rikki came out to him as a member of the LGBT+ community in the form of a long letter.

"Of course natanggap ko naman agad because I love her, and I respect [her]," he added. "So, whatever makes her happy."

"Widows' War" stars Bea Alonzo and Carla Abellana.

It is a spinoff of the popular murder-mystery series "Royal Blood" and "Widows' Web." It airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8:50 p.m.
