SB19's Stell to aspiring young singers: 'Don't be afraid to show what you really are'
SB19’s Stell has some words of wisdom for aspiring young singers.
In an interview with GMA News Online on Wednesday, the P-pop star advised young singers to never be afraid to show their unique talent as an artist.
“I know dito sa Pilipinas talagang sobrang patok ‘yung laging bumibirit, ‘yung kumakanta ng matataas, but huwag niyong i-disregard ‘yung skill niyo na parang ibang genre ‘yung gusto niyo,” Stell said.
“I know mahirap siyang tanggapin ng ibang tao, pero ngayon nagiging open na ‘yung bansa natin sa iba’t-ibang klaseng tunog, iba’t ibang genre, iba’t-ibang boses ng mga artist. So don’t be afraid to show kung ano talagang gusto ng puso mo, kung ano ang boses mo,” he added.
Stell believes that now is the perfect moment for them to showcase their talents and develop a unique voice that the Philippines and the rest of the world can hear.
“Ang Pilipinas ay napakadami pang hindi nadidiscover na tunog at talento na dapat lumabas ngayon dahil time ito ng Pilipino na mas makilala hindi lang dito sa bansa natin, kundi pati na rin sa ibang bansa,” he said. “So don’t be afraid to show what you really are, basta keep doing what you do, and keep doing what you love.”
Stell is one of the four coaches of “The Voice Kids Philippines.”
He will be joined by Billy Crawford, Julie Anne San Jose, and fellow SB19 member Pablo.
"The Voice Kids Philippines" will air starting September 15. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
