Jay Ortega shares 'Pulang Araw' BTS snaps as Akio Watanabe

Jay Ortega took to social media to share some “Pulang Araw” behind-the-scenes photos.

On his TikTok account, Jay gave his followers a glimpse into the Kapuso series’ taping set, including snaps of himself in his character’s costumes.

Jay plays the role of the antagonist Akio Watanabe, a spy working for the Japanese Imperial Army.

In previous episodes, Akio could be seen showing interest in Teresita (Sanya Lopez).

“Pulang Araw” traces the intertwined lives of four childhood friends: Adelina (Barbie Forteza), Teresita (Sanya), Hiroshi (David Licauco), and Eduardo (Alden Richards). As war ravages their homeland, their dreams, friendships, and loyalties are tested, leading them on a journey of self-discovery and resilience.  

The main antagonist of the series is Col. Yuta Saitoh, played by Dennis Trillo. He is a Japanese Imperial Army officer whose mission is to conquer the Philippines.

The show made a strong debut on Netflix via www.netflix.com/PulangAraw last July and was a trending topic on X.
