Michael Sager grateful to work with 'dream leading lady' Kate Valdez for 'Shining Inheritance'

Michael Sager has nothing but kind words for Kate Valdez after working together for the upcoming adaptation of the K-drama “Shining Inheritance.”

In a media conference on Friday, Michael said that he had one-on-one workshops with Kate for the project.

“Mysterious talaga si Kate. Mysterious in a way na once nag-bloom na siya sa set, grabe, mapapa-wow ka nalang na napakagaling ni Kate,” he said. “Na-starstruck ako kay Kate, hindi lang sa ganda pero sa ganda ng work mo.”

“And I always mentioned sa mga interviews before na my dream leading lady is Kate Valdez, so maraming salamat po na naka-partner ko pa si Kate,” he added.

Michael will play the role of Yuan Dela Costa, the twin brother of Joanna Dela Costa (Kyline Alcantara).

The Sparkle star said that he immediately fell in love with the character after they did a screen test for the project.

“Sabi ko sa sarili ko ‘Kailangan kong makuha ‘to.’ I prayed for it very hard,” Michael said.

"Shining Inheritance" originally starred Lee Seung Gi, Han Hyo Joo, Moon Chae Won, and Bae Soo Bin.

The GMA adaptation will also star Coney Reyes, Paul Salas, and more.

It will begin airing on September 9 at 4 p.m. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
