Alden Richards says he and Kathryn Bernardo got closer during 'Hello, Love, Again' shoot in Canada
Alden Richards is back in the Philippines after finishing taping for "Hello, Love, Again" in Canada.
"Hello, Love, Again" is the much-awaited sequel to Alden and Kathryn Bernardo's "Hello, Love, Goodbye," directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana.
According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," Friday, Alden felt emotional on the last day of their shoot.
"I felt a little bit sentimental, of course, with the place and ang haba ng time na magkakasama kami roon, so nagulat ako in an instant tapos na pala siya," he said.
The Asia's Multimedia Star also said that he was able to get closer with the movie's cast, including co-star Kathryn during their shoot in Canada.
"Mas naging solid, mas naging closer, mas nakilala namin 'yung isa't isa and at the same time parang, you know, you really get to know the person once you get to work with her in a set-up na matagal magkasama," he said of Kathryn.
Alden and Kathryn are reprising their roles as Ethan and Joy in the sequel, which continues the story of the two struggling OFWs who met in Hong Kong and fell in love at the wrong time. Five years later, Ethan and Joy meet again in Canada.
"When it comes to Joy and Ethan naman, without giving much spoiler, this is a more mature take on both characters," he added.
The cast and crew of "Hello, Love, Again" arrived in Canada in late July to shoot the movie.
"Hello, Love, Again" is set to be released in the Philippines on November 13. It is GMA Pictures and Star Cinema's first-ever film collaboration.
Meanwhile, Alden is now back to filming for "Pulang Araw," where he stars as Eduardo, a Filipino-American who ends up being a guerilla fighter during the Japanese occupation of the Philippines.
He shared to "24 Oras" that he's eager to be back and tape for the Kapuso historical drama series due to the high praise it has garnered from viewers.
