SB19 opens up on previous trademark issue over their name: 'Dito na ba titigil lahat?'

SB19 has opened up on the issue they faced last year regarding the trademark of their group name.

On part 2 of their interview with "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda" at the headquarters of 1Z Entertainment, which aired on Tuesday, the group shared the emotional turmoil they had to endure amid the controversy.

Pablo said they were not allowed to use the name "SB19" just as they were gearing up for their Pagtatag! world tour.

"Marami po kaming countries na hindi napuntahan kasi na-cancel 'yung show," he said. "Nag-perform po kami, 'Please welcome, Pablo Josh Stell Ken Justin.'"

"Parang, ha? Ano kami? Sino kami?" Stell added.

Pablo said the situation caused a lot of stress for the people who were helping them, and they also experienced sleepless nights.

"'Yung pinaka worry din, 'yung parang, dito na ba titigil lahat?" Josh said. "S'yempre ang hirap eh, binuhos mo lahat tapos in an instant may ganun."

SB19 eventually reached an amicable settlement with their former management, ShowBT Entertainment, regarding the trademark and retained their name.

The story of their struggles last year will be told in the documentary film about their "Pagtatag" era. It will be released in cinemas from August 28 to September 1.

"Ang pinagkukuwentuhan po natin how successful we are right now, pero parang the moment na na-fe-feel mo na 'yun, biglang may babatuhin ka ng meteorite na ibabagsak ka ulit," Pablo said.

"Nung napagtagumpayan namin siya parang dun naman masasabi na tumatag, matatag na talaga tayo," he said.

SB19, who are known for their songs "GENTO" and "MAPA," is currently in South Korea to perform and receive and award at the Billboard Korea's Billboard K Power 100 event.
