Ruru Madrid is back as Ybrahim!
The Kapuso Primetime Action Hero is all set to reprise his “Encantadia” character for the fantaserye’s spinoff, “Sang’gre.”
Series director Mark Reyes posted a photo from Ruru’s day on set, alongside his leading lady Kylie Padilla, who is back as Sang’gre Amihan.
“Eto na pa-Pritchon ni Emre!” Direk Mark said on Instagram.
“So they’re finally back together on the set for #sanggre. @kylienicolepadilla and @rurumadrid8 as Amihan and Ybrahim and their Enca love story continues on,” he added.
Direk Mark also said that several cast members from the 2016 “Encantadia” remake were on set that day, including Gabbi Garcia who is returning as Sang’gre Alena.
He added that they shot scenes “in a very special location 3 to 4 hours away from Manila” with close to 300 cast and crew members.
“The amount of costumes and set pieces brought to this outdoor location was mind boggling. We’re excited to show you guys these special scenes soon. Especially that of #ybramihan!” Direk Mark said.
Direk Mark welcomed Ruru on “Sang’gre” in a previous post. The actor said in the comments section, “Mahal na Emre! Avisala Eshma! Isang karangalan para sa akin ang makasamang muli sa mundo ng Encantadia. Thank you Direk for always trusting and believing in me.”
Ybrahim is the fourth rama or king of Sapiro upon the restoration of peace in Encantadia. He and Amihan have a daughter named Lira.
Ruru last starred in the action drama series “Black Rider,” which he called his dream role.
“Sang’gre,” stars Bianca Umali as Terra, the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Lupa; Faith Da Silva as Flamarra, keeper of the Brilyante ng Apoy; Kelvin Miranda as Adamus, the new protector of the Brilyante ng Tubig; and Angel Guardian as Deia, the keeper of the Brilyante ng Hangin.
