Barbie Forteza says 'Pulang Araw' role is an honor, expresses gratitude for the support

Barbie Forteza is grateful that she is able to bring Adelina dela Cruz to life in “Pulang Araw.”

The Kapuso Primetime Princess penned an appreciation post on Instagram alongside posters of her character.

She began by saying that “Pulang Araw” is a TV show “that will always be important and meaningful to all of us Filipinos.”

Barbie added that it is an honor to portray the courageous and loving Adelina.

“Isang karangalan na isabuhay ang karakter ni Adelina dela Cruz na isang babaeng Pilipino na nangarap, nagmahal at buong tapang na nakipaglaban para sa kalayaan at kapayapaan noong World War ll,” she said.

“Nakakatuwa dahil marami na tayong mapapanooran ng napakagandang programang ito kaya maraming salamat po sa pagyakap at pagsubaybay sa kwento nito,” she added.

The actress invited viewers to continue watching “Pulang Araw” on GMA Prime on weekdays at 8 p.m. and on Netflix.

“Pulang Araw” traces the intertwined lives of four childhood friends: Adelina (Barbie), Teresita (Sanya Lopez), Hiroshi (David Licauco), and Eduardo (Alden Richards). As war ravages their homeland and Japanese forces occupy the Philippines, their dreams, friendships, and loyalties are tested, leading them on a journey of self-discovery and resilience.
