Dennis Trillo calls his villain character in 'Pulang Araw' a 'dream role'
Dennis Trillo is grateful that he was given the role of Col. Yuta Saitoh in "Pulang Araw."
In his interview with Aubrey Carampel on "24 Oras," Wednesday, the Kapuso actor said that he had always wanted to play a villain role.
Isa itong dream role para sa 'kin," he said.
Dennis's character is a Japanese imperial army officer whose mission is to conquer the Philippines.
Gusto ko walang makitang bahid nung mga characters na ginawa ko," he said.
"As much as possible, 'pag nagta-Tagalog 'yung character ko dito, ginagawa kong barok kung paano mag-Tagalog 'yung isang Hapon.
"Pulang Araw" traces the intertwined lives of four childhood friends, Adelina (Barbie Forteza), Teresita (Sanya Lopez), Hiroshi (David Licauco), and Eduardo (Alden Richards), before and during World War II.
"Pulang Araw" airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." It is also streaming on Netflix.
