Rochelle Pangilinan is now a Sparkle star!

Rochelle Pangilinan is now officially part of the Sparkle family!

On Tuesday, Rochelle had a contract signing event graced by GMA Network Inc. Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and Sparkle GMA Artist Center First Vice President Joy Marcelo.

Rochelle, who was accompanied by her talent manager, Perry Lansigan, said it felt as if it was her birthday.

“Natutuwa ako kasi lumaki ‘yung pamilya na ginagalawan ko. At sa tagal-tagal ko po sa GMA, talagang ang sarap mag-alaga talaga ng GMA,” Rochelle said. “Excited po ako sa bagong chapter ng buhay ko.”

[I'm happy because my family grew. I've been with GMA for the longest time — they know how to take care of their artists, I'm excited for this new chapter.]

Gozon-Valdes said she is looking forward to doing more projects with Rochelle.

“Rochelle, thank you! Ang tagal-tagal mo na sa GMA, but ngayon, iba ‘yung pag-welcome namin because double-double na ‘yung pagka-Kapuso mo, you’re now part of Sparkle,” she said.

[Rochelle, thank you! You've been with GMA for the longest time but today, we will welcome you differently because you are twice a Kapuso. You are now also part of Sparkle.]

“Ang layo na ng narating mo. Ang dami mo nang roles na ginampanan, and lahat nagmamarka,” she continued. “And I’m sure marami pa tayong magagawa in the future. Thank you and welcome to Sparkle.”

[You've come a long way. You've portrayed so many roles, all made a mark. I'm sure we will accomplish more in the future. Thank you and welcome to Sparkle.]

Marcelo also thanked Rochelle, expressing excitement for the younger Sparkle stars.

“Rochelle, we’re very blessed to have you. Totoo ‘yan. Genuinely, I’m speaking from my heart na nagpapasalamat ako [na] you decided to join us,” she said.

“Excited ako for the kids ng Sparkle kasi they look up to you, at alam kong marami kang matuturo din sa kanila.”

[I'm excited for the kids of Sparkle because they look up to you, and I know they will learn a lot from you.]

Rochelle currently stars in “Pulang Araw” as Amalia Dimalanta-Torres, the aunt of Adelina (Barbie Forteza) and Eduardo (Alden Richards).

Prior to becoming an actress, Rochelle was an original member of the all-female dance group The Sexbomb Girls. The group rose to fame for their daily performances on "Eat Bulaga" and for their afternoon drama series "Daisy Siete." Among their hits were "The Spageti Song," "Halukay Ube," "Bakit Papa?" and many more.
