Angelu De Leon, cast of 'T.G.I.S.' reunite to celebrate show's 29th anniversary 

Some of the cast of the iconic '90s teen-oriented show "T.G.I.S." have reunited to celebrate the show's 29th anniversary!

On Instagram, "Pulang Araw" star Angelu De Leon shared some snaps from their mini-reunion.

As seen in the photos, Angelu, Bobby Andrews, Ciara Sotto, and Michael Flores all gathered to celebrate their "29 years of friendship." 

"Happy anniversary guys! Group hug! Thank you for the surprise cake!" Angelu wrote in the caption.

She also made a huge shoutout to other "T.G.I.S." actors Rica Peralejo, Bernadette Allyson, Red Sternberg, Raven Villanueva, and Onemig Bondoc, saying they miss them. 

Aside from the cast members, directors Dominic Zapata and Mark Reyes also graced the mini-reunion. Dominic's wife and the show's writer Kit Villanueva Zapata was also present at the gathering.

Meanwhile, in the comment section, fans can't help but feel nostalgic over their mini-reunion.

"Nostalgic. High school day[s]," a fan wrote.

"I miss y'all so much! Happy 29th, guys!" another fan said.

Previously, Angelu marked the show's 29th anniversary through a throwback post on Instagram.

In her post, the actress posted a photo with some of her castmates Bobby, Raven, Onemig, Red and Michael all wearing "T.G.I.S." shirts.

"T.G.I.S.," a coming-of-age afternoon series, premiered on GMA Network on August 12, 1995. The successful show had more than 200 episodes and the film "T.G.I.S.: The Movie" premiered in 1997. The show also turned Angelu and Bobby into a popular loveteam in the '90s.

In the series, Angelu played the role of Peachy Real, the love interest of Bobby's character Wacks. 

Angelu is currently one of the cast members of "Pulang Araw." She plays Carmela, the wife of bodabil actor and theater owner Julio Borromeo (Epy Quizon). She is the mother of Teresita (Sanya Lopez) and treats Adelina (Barbie Forteza) poorly.

"Pulang Araw" airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." It is also streaming on Netflix.
