Pokwang looks back on past, gives love another try on 'EXpecially For You'

Pokwang is back on “It’s Showtime,” but this time as a searcher on the show’s “EXpecially for You” portion.

The Sparkle star was accompanied by her daughter, Mae, who shared that she had previously asked her mom to try the matchmaking segment.

“Para sa ‘kin kasi talaga, mas gusto ko na tumanda siyang may makakasama,” Mae said.

According to Pokwang, she had been single for 17 years already when she first met her previous partner on the set of a project.

Pokwang's ex-partner is Lee O’Brian. They parted ways in 2021.

Recalling the breakup, she couldn’t help but become emotional and admitted that she felt bad and guilty for Mae.

“Kasi nakita niya kung gaano ko kamahal. Nakita niya kung gaano ako kasaya. So sinacrifice niya ‘yung happiness niya,” Pokwang said.

“‘Yung sakripisyo ng anak ko na nabaliwala for my happiness, nabaliwala. Nadamay ‘yung anak ko dun sa pain na binigay mo sa ‘kin. OK lang sana kung ako lang,” she added.

Pokwang said that the only good thing that happened in her previous relationship was their daughter, Malia.

Richard, Paulo, or Pogs?

Pokwang had to choose among three searchees, Richard, Paulo, and Pogs.

After they answered three questions, Pokwang ended up choosing Richard, who is a chef from Ilocos Sur.

He also said that he had previously stayed in Spain for eight years.

Following Pokwang's split with O'Brian, she filed a deportation case against him and won.
