Mavy Legaspi tells mom Carmina Villarroel in birthday message: 'Mabuti kang tao, ma'

Mavy Legaspi wrote a heartfelt letter for his mom Carmina Villarroel on her birthday, calling her, “the strong, beautiful, inspiring, loving mom that has impacted my life beyond measure.”

The Kapuso actress turned 48 on Saturday, and Mavy posted photos of her through the years on Instagram.

He started his greeting by expressing his gratitude.

“Thank you for your unconditional love, endless patience, and incredible guidance. We are all so lucky.”

The actor also reminded Carmina that she is loved by so many.

“Honestly, you’re actually one of the nicest people in the industry—I dare anyone to ask anyone anything about you and nothing negative will be said. That’s why worry less mom, they got nothing on you. It’s so hard to be nice in this world but you are almost perfect when it comes to it,” Mavy said.

“People had to make up a story out of your [Instagram posts] which was dedicated to your very own mother ‘cause I know that specific day was special and you were just missing her a lot… that’s the truth,” he added. “But being the strong woman that you are—you continue to live on, ignore all the negativity and continue to be the kind person that you truly are in this not so kind world. I am passionate about it when I say that you are kind. Mabuti kang tao, ma."

He added that Carmina is a very helpful person who makes sure that her family, friends, co-workers, household, and those in need are all doing well.

“That’s who Carmina is. Zero attitude, just full of patience, happiness and laughter. always thinking about others other than herself. the most unselfish person that I know.”

To end his message, Mavy told his mom: “I love you with all my heart and will always protect you no matter what. Thank you for letting me spread my wings and fly. For guiding me and letting me make my own decisions and deal with the outcomes. In short, for letting me be my own man. Happy birthday, momma. You deserve to be happy. Cheers!”

Carmina was clearly touched by the letter and commented, “Thank you kuya Mavy. I love you so much.”

Mavy previously said in a “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” interview that Carmina is the “number one in my heart.”

The “Abot Kamay na Pangarap” star said she told Mavy to “Just take your time. Enjoy your life, especially ngayon na ang daming trabaho, ang dami mong blessings, so mag-focus ka muna diyan.”

The Legaspi family, composed of Carmina, Zoren Legaspi, Cassy, and Mavy traveled to Japan last March.
