‘Pulang Araw’ child actors earn praise from Barbie Forteza, David Licauco, Sanya Lopez
Just like the viewers of "Pulang Araw," Barbie Forteza, Sanya Lopez, and David Licauco were impressed with the acting skills of their characters’ younger versions in the Kapuso series.
In Nelson Canlas’ report on “24 Oras,” Friday, Cassy Lavarias, Migz Diokno, and Cheska Maranan happily and proudly shared the positive comments they received from the show's lead stars.
“Magaling daw po kami. Tapos sinabi po sa ‘kin ni Ate Barbie [na] ang fresh ko daw po,” Cassy said.
Talking about David, Migz said, “Sinabi niya po, ang galing ko daw po mag-Nihongo. Kuhang-kuha ko daw po ‘yung the way he acts po.”
“Sabi po ni Ate Sanya, magaling daw po kaming dalawa ni Cassy mag-tap dance po, and magaling daw po akong um-acting, and ang pretty ko daw po,” Cheska said.
The three young stars also shared that, in their free time, they like playing video games together.
They are also balancing school and work at the same time.
Now that the older versions of their characters are already shown in the series, Cassy, Migz, and Cheska shared that this does not mean that viewers will no longer see them onscreen.
"Babalik balik pa rin po kami," the three said.
“Pulang Araw” traces the intertwined lives of four childhood friends: Adelina (Barbie), Teresita (Sanya), Hiroshi (David), and Eduardo (Alden Richards). As war ravages their homeland and Japanese forces occupy the Philippines, their dreams, friendships, and loyalties are tested, leading them on a journey of self-discovery and resilience.
"Pulang Araw" airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." It is also streaming on Netflix.
