Ruffa Gutierrez's daughter Venice starts university in the US
Ruffa Gutierrez couldn't help but become emotional as her youngest daughter Venice Bektas gears up to start university in the US.
In an Instagram post, the actress and beauty queen shared photos of Venice moving into her dorm and their sweet hug at the airport.
“Today, my youngest daughter, [Venice], will spread her wings and begin a new chapter in her life as a university student," Ruffa said in her caption.
“Saying goodbye is sooo difficult! I’ve been ugly crying for an hour now but I know that you will be chasing your dreams while forging new friendships,” she added.
Ruffa also told Venice to be a good girl, study hard, and to always pray.
She also has a message for her eldest daughter Lorin: “Please be a caring ate and visit Venice when you have time.”
Ruffa added the hashtags #SadButProudMom, #EmptyNester.
According to Venice’s Instagram Story, she will be going to school in Texas. Her older sister, Lorin, studies at Pepperdine University in California.
Ruffa was previously married to Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas.
After separating in 2007, Ruffa and Yilmaz were granted an annulment. Ruffa has since been a single mom to her daughters.
Ruffa is currently in a relationship with actor-politician Herbert Bautista.
Ruffa also places importance on schooling. She earned her bachelor's degree in Communication Arts at the Philippine Women’s University in 2022 at the age of 48, and is now pursuing a Master of Arts major in Communication Arts.
