Vilma Santos, more personalities visit wake of Mother Lily Monteverde

More stars visited the wake of Mother Lily Monteverde and paid their respects to the late Regal Entertainment matriarch.

According to “24 Oras,” Friday, among those who visited were Vilma Santos, Aga Muhlach, and Senator Bong Revilla.

"Isa lang naman pinagdarasal ko, basta ayaw ko lang ‘yung nahirapan si Mother," Vilma said.

“Maraming bagay na nabigay sa akin si Mother as a mother—not only as a producer, but as a mother. The advices, the support, the love,” she said.

Mother Lily passed away on Aug. 4. She was 84 years old. She will be interred on Saturday, Aug. 10, at The Heritage Park in Taguig City.

Mother Lily was married to Remy Monteverde, who died on July 29, just a few days before her passing.

She helmed Regal Entertainment for several decades and produced many blockbusters, including the iconic "Mano Po" and “Shake, Rattle & Roll” films.

Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes also visited her wake.

Tributes from actors like Judy Ann Santos, Iza Calzado, Rufa Mae Quinto, Snooky Serna, Alma Moreno, Ruffa Gutierrez, Donita Rose, and many more poured in for Mother Lily.
