Snooky Serna, Maricel Soriano more celebs attend Mother Lily Monteverde's wake

Several celebrities visited on the first day of Mother Lily Monteverde's wake at the 38 Valencia Events Place in Quezon City on Monday.

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," Snooky Serna, Maricel Soriano, Gloria Diaz, and Lito Lapid, Rio Locsin, and Gina Alajar were among those who paid their respects to the film producer.

Sparkle consultant Johnny Manahan and directors Erik Matti and Chito Roño were also present.

"I feel like I have lost my parents all over again," said Snooky, one of the original "Regal Babies."

"Si Mother talaga treated me like her own child, kasi kaming lahat, si Inay din, si Maria, lahat kami, si Dina," she added. "Nung time na 'yun talaga she was as concerned as my own mother."

Snooky starred in several Regal films, including "Under-age," "Schoolgirls," and "No Other Love."

Mother Lily passed away on Sunday. She was 84 years old.

Several stars have posted tribute messages for her on social media, mourning the loss of one of the pillars of Philippine entertainment.
