Rufa Mae Quinto on Mother Lily Monteverde: 'Napakatotoong tao'

Rufa Mae Quinto was among the Filipino celebrities who paid tribute to Mother Lily Monteverde, the long-time matriarch of Regal Entertainment, who passed away on Sunday.

On "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Monday, the actress and comedienne described Mother Lily as a "napakatotoong tao" who believes in the craft of filmmaking.

"Kaya kahit anong mangyari, gustong-gusto niyang nagpo-produce ng movie. Siyempre naalala ko siya, napakatotoong tao niya. Kapag galit, galit. Kapag masaya, masaya," Rufa said, adding that the film producer has always been kind to her.

Rufa starred in several Regal Entertainment films such as "Manay Po 2: Overload" and "Temptation Island" to name a few.

Following Mother Lily's death, tributes from celebrities such as Judy Ann Santos and Maricel Soriano poured on social media.

Mother Lily's wake begins on Monday, August 5, 3:30 p.m. at 38 Valencia Events Place in Quezon City. She will be interred on Saturday, August 10, at The Heritage Park in Taguig City.
