David Licauco hilariously asks Angelu De Leon: 'Paumanhin, bakit masama kayo kay Aderina?'

“Pulang Araw” stars David Licauco and Angelu De Leon just had a hilarious exchange of comments on Instagram after the actress posted a photo with their co-stars.

Aside from Angelu and David, the snap also shows Barbie Forteza, Sanya Lopez, and Alden Richards.

“MRS BORROMEO,” David commented on the post, to which Angelu replied, “At bakit Hiroshi???” with a laughing emoji.

David answered back, “Paumanhin bakit masama kayo kay aderina” with another laughing emoji.

Angelu then replied, “Manood ka ng Pulang Araw para malaman mo bakit!”

Angelu's character, Carmela, is the wife of bodabil actor and theater owner Julio Borromeo (Epy Quizon). She is the mother of Teresita (Sanya) and treats Adelina (Barbie) poorly.

David plays the role of Japanese immigrant Hiroshi. With the character's Nihongo accent, he pronounces Adelina as Aderina.

The main antagonist of “Pulang Araw” is Col. Yuta Saitoh, played by Dennis Trillo. He is a Japanese imperial army officer whose mission is to conquer the Philippines.

The show made a strong debut on Netflix via www.netflix.com/PulangAraw on July 26 and was a trending topic on X. The historical drama is on the No. 1 spot on the platform’s list of "Top 10 TV Shows in the Philippines Today."

"Pulang Araw" airs weeknights on GMA Prime at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras."
