Lea Salonga and Dolly De Leon pose for a powerhouse snap

Lea Salonga and Dolly De Leon just posed for a powerhouse snap, during what appears to be rehearsals for their upcoming play "Request sa Radyo."

On Instagram, Dolly posted their photo and shared how they first met as teenagers, taking jazz classes."

"Decades later we get to collaborate as alternates in a play that means so much to us both, with a theme that has always been anathema to me - loneliness," Dolly said.

The Golden Globes-nominated actress shared their hope for "Request sa Radyo:" That it will "shed light on what it’s like to be away from home and our loved ones - a phenomenon we’re both very familiar with."

"It’s been six years," Dolly continued, as she tagged the award-winning theater actress. "I can’t wait to come back home with you, Lea!"

Her post has already generated nearly 1,500 double taps, turning fan girls out of celebrities including Alessandra de Rossi and Iza Calzado.

News of Lea and Dolly doing alternates for "Request sa Radyo" swept entertainment headlines back in June.

The play, a Filipino adaptation of “Wunschkonzert” or “Request Program” by Franz Xaver Kroetz, is a solo, wordless play that will feature Lea and Dolly as alternates.

Produced by Tony Winner Clint Ramos, Bobby Garcia who will also serve as the director, and Christopher Mohnani for Ayala Land and GMG Productions, “Request Sa Radyo” captures the moving solitude of a woman through her meticulous evening routine. As she navigates her quiet, solitary life, her actions and her favorite radio program reveal the profound loneliness and yearning for connection that lies beneath.

It will run on limited engagement from October 10-20.
