Barbie Forteza celebrates birthday on set of 'Pulang Araw' as thanksgiving treat to co-stars

Barbie Forteza turned 27 today!

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, the Kapuso Primetime Princess threw a feast on the set of "Pulang Araw" in celebration of her birthday and as a thanksgiving treat to all her co-stars, staff, and production team.

The actress couldn't help but express her gratitude to the entire team of "Pulang Araw" and supporters of the groundbreaking historical drama.

Barbie also marked her birthday with a photoshoot inspired by her character, Adelina, a vaudeville performer. On Instagram, she shared photos of her donning vaudeville and cabaret-inspired outfits.

As for her birthday wish, Barbie said that wishing for anything more would be superfluous.

Many have since sent their birthday greetings to the actress, including "Pulang Araw" co-star David Licauco and her former "Maria Clara at Ibarra" co-star Andrea Torres.

"Pulang Araw" traces the intertwined lives of four childhood friends: Adelina (Barbie), Teresita (Sanya Lopez), Hiroshi (David), and Eduardo (Alden Richards) as they navigate different struggles before and during World War II.

"Pulang Araw" is now airing on GMA Prime. It is also streaming on Netflix, where it landed on the No. 1 spot of the platform's list of "Top 10 TV Shows in the Philippines Today."
