Rico Blanco thanks ex-girlfriend Maris Racal in 'Kisapmata' visualizer

Despite their breakup, Rico Blanco still made sure to give credit to his ex-girlfriend Maris Racal in the visualizer of his song "Kisapmata."

On Saturday, the OPM icon released on YouTube the official visualizer of one of Rivermaya's well-loved songs. In the caption, Rico thanked the people behind the release including Maris, who served as the music video's telecaster.

Previously, Rico shared a video of himself on his work station, playing a short instrumental of Rivermaya's hit song "Kisapmata" on his laptop.

The musician posted the short clip a day before Maris confirmed their split.

According to the actress, the breakup took place a few weeks ago. She said they were the "loneliest, emptiest weeks I've ever experienced in my life."

"Rico and I, our universe was so beautiful. It was so full of love, laughter, music, everything," Maris said. "Sa five years namin together, we were always on the same page. Always on the same page. But I don't know what happened to me. Maybe I turned to the next page and saw a new perspective sa life."

She also called their separation a "very polite" one.

Maris and Rico had been dating for two years before they made their relationship public in 2021.

Soon after their announcement, Maris posted a photo of a cake that read, "Age is just a number."

Rico is now 51 years old, while Maris is 26 years old.
