Sparkle joins GMA Kapuso Foundation for Operation Bayanihan; Sparkle stars help distribute aid and relief to those affected by Carina, Habagat

GMA Kapuso Foundation's Operation Bayanihan is in full throttle Thursday as it joins forces with Sparkle to help distribute aid and relief to those affected by Carina, and the habagat.

On "Unang Hirit" Thursday, Shaira Diaz together with co-host Suzie Entrata-Abrera went to Barangay San Juan in Taytay Rizal, where they distributed relief goods to some 250 families or 1,000 residents in the evacuation center.

Meanwhile, Rocco Nacino and Lexi Gonzales helped in repacking goods at a Tandang Sora Warehouse on Thursday morning, where Ysabel Ortega, Shuvee Etrata, Kim Perez, Elijah Alejo, Ashley Ortega, and Mariane Osabel are scheduled to follow in the afternoon.

According to Sparkle, proceeds and donations from the recently held GMA Gala will be given to the victims of Typhoon Carina in coordination with the GMA Kapuso Foundation. 

In the wake of Carina and the Habagat Wednesday night, GMA Kapuso Foundation launched Operation Bayanihan and provided hot meals and donuts to over 1,000 individuals through the Kapuso Soup Kitchen.
