Ruru Madrid joins Dennis Trillo in MMFF 2024 entry 'Green Bones'

Ruru Madrid is joining the cast of "Green Bones," GMA Pictures' entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024.

The Primetime Action Hero will star alongside Dennis Trillo and Sofia Pablo in the film, which will be helmed by award-winning director Zig Dulay.

"Green Bones" is based on an original story by JC Rubio, senior documentary manager of GMA Public Affairs. The screenplay was written by National Artist Ricky Lee and MMFF 2023 Best Screenplay winner Anj Atienza.

The film made it to the first five finalists of MMFF 2024, along with "And the breadwinner is…," "Strange Frequencies: Haunted Hospital," "Himala: Isang Musikal," and "The Kingdom."

Ruru currently stars in GMA Public Affairs action series "Black Rider," which is now on its finale week on GMA Prime.

Last year, Ruru starred in the GMA Pictures and VIVA Films co-production "Video City" opposite Yassi Pressman.

Meanwhile, Dennis will star in upcoming series "Pulang Araw" and Sofia in "Prinsesa ng City Jail."
