At GMA Gala 2024, Gabbi Garcia gets votes from beauty queens Stacey Gabriel and Nicole Cordoves to join pageantry

Even beauty queens think Gabbi Garcia should give pageantry a try!

At the GMA Gala 2024 Saturday, Miss Universe Philippines 2024 first runner-up Stacey Gabriel and Miss Grand International 2016 first runner-up Nicole Cordoves gave the Sparkle star their votes when asked who they think should join pageantry.

“She was a host at Miss Universe Philippines edition. Gabbi Garcia. She’s just a classic Filipina beauty,” Stacey said.

She continued, “I’d love to see her shine on—I mean, she already does a million things outside of pageantry, but I feel like if she did join pageantry, we would see a different side of her.”

Nicole added she really loves Gabbi’s morena look.

“She’s all I can think of right now,” she said.

“She should try whatever pageant she thinks she fits the mold into because every pageant, iba-iba ‘yung hinahanap diyan eh,” Nicole continued.

In 2021, Gabbi said she’s planning to join Miss Universe Philippines and that she’s just “waiting for the right time.”

She also previously said that it was her childhood dream to join a beauty pageant.

At the Gala, Gabbi walked the red carpet in a glittering Rick Owens gown with jewelry from Bulgari. She was accompanied by boyfriend Khalil Ramos. 

Gabbi, Stacey, and Nicole were just three of about 1,000 guests that gathered together at the Grand Ballroom of Marriott Hotel Manila for the GMA Gala, the entertainment industry's biggest and most star-studded event. 

The GMA Gala also serves as a fundraising event for the benefit of the GMA Kapuso Foundation. This year, it is a celebration of Philippine pride.
