Barbie Forteza reveals Kapuso girl crush

Move over BarDa, and make way for BarCa!

In a interview with GMA News Online, Barbie revealed that Bianca Umali is her girl crush.

“Ang Kapuso girl crush ko ay si Bianca Umali. Ang ganda niya girl!” the Kapuso Primetime Princess said at the sidelines of the GMA Gala 2024 in the Marriott Manila Hotel in Pasay City on Saturday night.

According to Barbie, Bianca is one of her “best friends” in the showbiz industry and one of the “realest people” she knew.

At this year’s GMA Gala, Barbie went solo once again and strutted the red carpet of the prestigious event in a white ball gown with dainty flower embroideries.

The white ensemble designed by Filipino fashion designer Mak Tumang "symbolizes the new look of 1947, which celebrated the newfound peace after the war."

"There are Sakura branches [in the gown], but the flowers are Sampaguita to merge Japan and the Philippines," Barbie said.

She is among the headliners of the much awaited GMA Drama "Pulang Araw," along with the other half of the BarDa loveteam, David Licauco.

Written by Suzette Doctolero and directed by Dominic Zapata, "Pulang Araw" will premiere on Netflix on July 26, three days before its television premiere on July 29.

Meanwhile, Bianca graced the GMA Gala with her boyfriend Ruru Madrid. The couple recently celebrated their 6th year anniversary as a couple. —JCB, GMA Integrated News
