John Estrada slams 'fake news' peddlers: 'Magkita tayo sa korte soon'

John Estrada took to social media to call out "fake news" peddlers who allegedly fabricated statements using his name, after his controversial Boracay vacation.

On Instagram Stories, the actor shared a screenshot of a post by the Facebook page Zumba Dance Chis’mis, and quickly debunked it saying it was "fake news."

In a post, the fan page shared a photo of John and his wife Priscilla Meirelles with a screengrab of what appears to be a post by John on X (formerly Twitter).

“Lalake ako, maraming nagkakagusto sakin kasi matipuno at gwapo tayo. Anong magagawa ko kung tukso na yung lumalapit, edi tukain!”" Read John's alleged tweet.

The alleged tweet came from an X account with the user handle @johnestrada__. But a quick search on X yields there is no such existing account.

John's X handle is @John_Estrada, and it's been dormant since 2018.

In another Instagram Stories post, John threatened to sue fake news peddlers.

“Fake news," he wrote over another couple photo with the fabricated X statement that came from the same non-existent X account @johnestrada__.

"Magkita tayo sa korte soon. Kung sino ka man,” he added.

The developments come at the heels of Priscilla's cryptic comment on John's Boracay post.

“Looking very divorced, Mr. Estrada,” the Miss Earth 2004 said, as she tagged a certain @Lily Hallman_

The actor has already turned off his comments section, but a screenshot of Priscilla's comment was caught by a netizen.

Priscilla also tagged the same username when she replied to when a netizen who asked about the actor's companion in Boracay.

In a previous interview on "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," Priscilla opened up on the state of her marriage with John and the issues they faced last year.

"Ang situation right now of course we're married pa rin and we're laughing yesterday and we're having a great time. But I'm not gonna take anything that I already took up to this point," she said.

"So alam niya nasa limit na ko. So whatever happens from this point on it's on him. I've done my part," she added.

John and Priscilla got married in 2011. They have one daughter named Sammanta Anechka, who was born in 2012.
