SB19’s YouTube account gets hacked
SB19’s official YouTube account just got hacked.
The P-pop Kings announced the unfortunate news on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, saying “Our team has reported the incident to the relevant authorities involved to prevent similar occurrences in the future.”
According to SB19, everything is now "under control" after they took "immediate action."
The group ended their statement by thanking their fans for their patience and understanding about the matter.
“Thank you for your continued support,” they added.
When "SB19" is manually searched on YouTube, the handle “xrp.lives-ripples” will appear under SB19’s official account. Their past music videos and vlogs, however, remain visible on the channel.
It seems hacking is becoming more frequent among celebrities and their social accounts. Earlier Monday, fellow OPM artist Ben&Ben announced their YouTube account got hacked, showing a cryptocurrency-related video.
Dennis Trillo's TIkTok account was also reportedly hacked early this month.
The incident hasn't stopped SB19 from their domination. The P-Pop kings previously announced their much-awaited "Pagtatag!" documentary film is set to make its theatrical debut on August 28. It is helmed by Jed Regala and produced by 1Z Entertainment and First Light Studios.
Composed of Pablo, Stell, Ken, Justin, and Josh, SB19 debuted in 2018 and is known for their songs "GENTO," "Mapa," "Bazinga," and more.
The group ended their "Pagtatag!" era with back-to-back concerts at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in May.
The group performed last week at the Binibining Pilipinas 2024 coronation night as the pageant marked its 60th anniversary. Recently, they also made history as the first Filipino act to grace the Japanese YouTube channel "First Take."
SB19's latest singles, "Moonlight" and "Ready," were collaborations with international artists Ian Asher, Terry Zhong, and Apl.de.ap.
